Welcome to Spring in Central Oregon! A blustery start to the month and not exactly what we all asked for, but fingers crossed for more seasonal sunshine and good golf days.
Thank you to everyone that has helped with course clean-up, from the “divot crew” a week or so ago to the more recent “stick pick-up” from our crazy wind day – we all love our course and I am sure Scott and his team appreciate the help.
I am absolutely blown away about where we sit here in April 2021, as compared to last year with all of its uncertainty, trepidation, anxiety, and well, you all know what I’m talking about. Now we kick off our golf season, as our days get longer and warmer and we see more and more friends back out on the course and in the clubhouse.
As you have heard, we are officially on a waitlist for golf membership. We have reached our maximum golf memberships and look forward to giving a warm welcome to our new members. I tip my hat to Jeff and Karen for all of their hard work bringing our new members on board.
April kicks off tournaments, too, with the Masters coming April 8-11. Monte has some fun things planned for this season and I, for one, cannot wait! Your board is working on a couple of bigger projects – for example, putting our operating procedures and policies in writing to be posted on our website, and evaluating various improvement projects. I welcome any ideas you want to share, so feel free to reach out to us. Keep an eye on your emails for news and updates from ForeTees as it is the best way to know what is new at the club.
