Now that 2020 has drawn to a close, it is time to embrace 2021. Undoubtedly, it will continue to look unusual, but there are many things that actually will look and feel the same from years past. We will continue to have a tremendous golf course and be the top place to be in Central Oregon. We will continue to have talented, hard-working and dedicated teams in all departments, making sure our member experiences are excellent. We will continue to grow friendships and relationships through our membership. And we continue to have Central Oregon as our outdoor playground — to get out of the house every once in a while to breathe fresh, clean air. And we also have some things to look forward to in 2021, most notably the arrival of our new head golf professional Monte Hanson. Monte is now “in the house” and I am sure he is looking forward to making Bend Golf Club home.
It is probably not a surprise to say there is not much to report about operations because, well, there has not been much! Many members enjoyed takeout in November and December, and we’ve tackled some clubhouse and grounds projects that we simply could not get to during normal operations. You will still folks working hard around the club while we all wait for the time when we can meet, eat and socialize in person. In the meantime, of course we can still golf and that is important. So, I encourage you to get out on the course when weather permits and to continue to support and enjoy Chef’s takeout menu and specials.
Welcome to 2021 and hold fast!
