GM: Jan. 2021

We begin 2021 with the arrival of our new head golf professional, Monte Hanson. Monte is here and is getting to know the team. Once we open, we’ll have a proper welcome event to introduce him to the membership.

It’s been unfortunately quiet at the club, but our teams have been working on several projects. Scott is installing a new pump for the well to ensure that our water supply is secured in the future. The existing pump had been there for years and if we run short of water again this year, we’ll have a secure water source for years to come.

Our operations teams are working on several projects within the clubhouse. Margaret had the tennis courts deep-cleaned and the pool will be ready to go. We have deep cleaned and coated all the floors and will continue to make sure it looks great when we are given permission to open up.

The MGA and LGA have setup the “majors” and we’ll get the specifics all set as we get all the details set up. Over the next few weeks, Monte and the tournament committee will gather and get the tournaments set up.

Karen and I are deep into our budget process and we have also begun our website upgrade. Susanna Ross, Laurie Hoyez, Randy Crossley, and Kandy Lamson are in the process of changing the way our website is set up. We’ll have a much easier platform to navigate as we get to the spring.

We can all look forward to a healing 2021 and we look forward to seeing all your faces soon!

A sincere “thank you” to both you and Karen for taking care of business at BGC. 2020 was a bear but you never faltered. I appreciate your dedication to making BGC my “paradise and respite” from all the troubles of the world. I’m forever grateful.
I hope you are enjoying a little down time this winter to rejuvenate yourself for the coming season.
    Happy New Year
    Sincerely, Barb Gahr
