At last the smoke has cleared! Its been a roller-coaster summer, but there is still good weather ahead. As we begin fall, we will bring back our Jazz Nights Nov. 4. We will have limited seating, so reserve your seats!
We welcome our new board members, Jack Bieber, Steve Parel and Eric Sultzer and thank John Collins (president for two years), Josh Gordon (VP) and Barb Gahr (secretary) for their service over the past three years.
Chef Darrin is outdoing himself and our Prime Rib Saturdays are back in full swing. It’s been great to see the dining room full and everyone enjoying themselves.
The fall is the time of year when many of our team members return to school, so we will be working hard to fill the roles vacated by the departure for school. We appreciate your patience.
Our hours will change now for the athletic area from 5:30-9 PM Monday through Friday and 6:30 to 8 PM on the weekends. We hope you all continue to enjoy the pool — it’s so nice to see so many young faces laughing and splashing around. We also have several of our tennis clinics going for all skills and ages.
We have had a great year of golf. Tam’s done a terrific job on Operation 36, and we now have an unprecedented 71 players that are 6 handicap or better. No other club is even close. We are now at 23,000 rounds vs. just over 13,000 last year, and the course is in incredible shape. We continue to thank Scott and his team for their dedication and talent.
Our membership is strong, with an unprecedented eight new golf memberships and six new athletic/tennis additions in September. We have 343 active golf members and 215 athletic/tennis members. In 2021, we should fill our maximum of 350 golf members. That number does not include non-residents, leaving 39 spots available. If you have been talking with friends and families, time is of the essence to join the best club in Central Oregon.
Enjoy the fall weather and consider all that we have here to do. From tennis to workouts to swimming, we have it all here!
