Superintendent: July 2020

First off, I would like to recognize my entire team for giving their all during these trying times. I am proud of all that we have accomplished this spring and hope you are enjoying the amazing weather and playing conditions. The next time you are out, please don’t hesitate to thank the maintenance staff for all they do to make your round more enjoyable.

Although we are back to providing rakes in the bunkers and pins that can be pulled, we are limiting many course accessories throughout the golf course to eliminate additional points of contact. There will be no ball washers, no sand and seed on par threes, and fewer trash cans. My team is managing the divots on tee boxes, but we rely on the golfers to replace or fill fairway and rough divots. Try and leave the course in the same or better condition for the players behind you.

We opened the new extension on the driving range tee over the 4th of July weekend, allowing for additional hitting stations. This will be very beneficial during shotgun events and provides 5,000 square feet of new tee area. Although shotguns may not occur for the remainder of the 2020 season, we are looking forward to a few tournaments that are scheduled to take place in late July and August.

We are always striving to better our course and look forward to a positive future. Thanks for your support and stay healthy!
