November brings us to our winter projects and our Christmas season. Over the next several months, we’ll be working on several projects that will prepare us for the winter and spring. Scott Moffenbeier, our superintendent, will be taking several trees out to the left of 3 up on the hill to offer more sunlight and behind number 7 to reduce shade on both 7 and 15 greens.
Christie and Chef Darrin are gearing up for our Holiday season. We have several banquets planned and a few new specials. Our $15 burger and beer special will begin the Wednesday after Jazz Night.
The simulator room has a new sound-dampening cage that we hope will make it a better experience (and less distracting for people exercising next door).
Emily and I are working on several different projects. First and foremost is our schedule for the year. We’ll incorporate several changes, from defining each of the tournaments to a new tee sheet setup and rules. Secondly, we are working on a new pricing schematic for merchandising and what we carry. You will see a new look next year and we look forward to your support.
Chef Darrin has a delicious spread in store for the Dickens dinner on Dec. 6, along with some great entertainment. Also watch for our Santa afternoon for the kids and pickleball leagues this winter.
It’s a great time to prepare and begin your winter workouts so that you stay in summer shape all year long. Using our athletic, pool, and tennis facilities during the off-season is a great way to get the most out of your membership.
As always, let us know if there is anything we can do better or ideas you may have. We look forward to a great winter!
