Golf Pro Update: January 2019

Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had a great Holiday season and are looking forward to a fantastic 2019.

Thank you very much for a wonderful year last year. It was great to get to know everyone. Drew and I are really looking forward to the upcoming season. On that note, I am very happy to let you know that Emily Anderson will be joining the staff as an assistant professional March 1. Emily is a native of Bend and brings a wealth of golf experience with her. She spent the last 15 years at Black Butte Ranch and comes from a golf family as many of you may remember her father, Terry Anderson, from both Black Butte and Eagle Crest. She is excited to get started and is especially looking forward to enhancing our Junior Golf Program.

Remember, as of Jan. 1 the new Rules of Golf are in play. Please take the time to research the new changes as it is the most sweeping change in the rules in many years. The main emphasis was on making them easier and I think they accomplished that for the most part. If you have any questions concerning the new Rules, please do not hesitate to call us or stop by the shop and we will do our best to clarify anything.

During January (and probably February) the golf shop will be closed on Mondays. If you need anything from the shop on a Monday, please let someone in the main office know and they will be happy to take care of you.

If any of you are headed to warmer parts of the country and need help getting on or need suggestions of courses to play, let us know and we would be happy to help.

Finally, we are still a few months away from new merchandise rolling in but if there is something you would like to special order or see us carry in the shop please let us know. Most of the major club manufacturers will be unveiling their new products at the golf show in Orlando later this month so it will be interesting to see what is new and exciting. See you soon.

Happy New Year!
