Chef’s Tidbits: January 2019


Phyllis Keefer has been employed in the kitchen here at BGC since August 2000. By the time you read this she will have retired, but not fully; you may see her doing volunteer work at the Eagles Club in Prineville (yes, in their kitchen).

My year and half here as executive chef has shown me how lucky we all have been for someone of Phyllis’ caliber to stay with us for so long. Her punctuality, knowledge of cooking, and her can-do spirit are among the many attributes we will sorely miss.

With the help of her coworkers in the day shift, Phyllis has kept this place afloat during the toughest of times and prevailed over many problems. She will be missed.

On behalf of the entire kitchen staff, we wish Phyllis the best of all retirement has to offer. Time for her to attack that personal bucket list. Thank you from our hearts, Phyllis!”
